Karleigh Frisbie Brogan is from Sonoma County, California and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. She is a 2024 Oregon Literary Fellow, the recipient of the 2023 George Pascoe Miller Scholarship for the Community of Writers Workshop, the 2022 Rona Jaffe Scholarship in nonfiction for the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, a 2020 Regional Arts and Culture Council grant, and the 2019 Tom And Phyllis Burnam Nonfiction Scholarship. Her writing has also been supported by the Tin House Summer Workshop and the Sewanee Writers' Conference. She was a 2019 Best American Sports Writing Notable. Her writing has been published in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Huffington Post, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Entropy, NAILED, Lana Turner, Water~Stone Review, and elsewhere. Her memoir, HOLDING, is forthcoming (Steerforth). She is represented by Miriam Altshuler at DeFiore.
